Oil refining

JSC "Reimpex" is one of the major mini refinery in Russia in terms of capacities and volumes of oil refining. In recent years, the Company's refining activities have been focused on meeting the market demand for quality petroleum products. Over a number of years, JSC "Reimpex" has been consistently implementing the modernization program for the refinery units, which has improved the quality of its products and increased its competitiveness. This is the most ambitious program for the modernization of oil refining capacities in the Russian oil industry, which includes the fulfillment of the Company's obligations under the quadripartite agreement. Within this program, in late 2018, the plant switched to 100% production of motor fuels of the Euro 5 class for the Russian domestic market, as required by the Technical Regulations.

The Company's plants have cutting-edge conversion and reforming capacities, and produce a wide range of high quality petroleum products. In terms of the engineering properties of their production capacities and the efficiency indicators, the JSC "Reimpex" refinery surpass the average Russian level, while the European plants of the Company are equal to their competitors and are located close to our key target markets.

Petrochemicals and refinery have been one of the most important business lines of JSC "Reimpex" since its foundation. JSC "Reimpex" began its production and sales activity in this market sphere in 2017. At that time the first 115,000 tons of oil were processed and delivered with the first tens of thousand oil products being dispatched for the needs of the Republic. During the period of 2017-2019 JSC "Reimpex" has dispatched and processed altogether more than 13 million tons of oil and chemical products including the export of nearly 3 million tons. Implementing new approaches to management, resources, and production, JSC "Reimpex" specialists proved that oil processing in Tatarstan can be really profitable.

The concept of the Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex is based on the following principles:

• integration of refineries and petrochemical plants within a single complex;
• application of advanced proven world technologies;
• improving the environment situation through production of cleaner fuels and compliance with stringent emissions requirements in the design of the Complex’s facilities;
• replacement of crude oil exports with the sale of high-quality oil products in the domestic and foreign markets, which corresponds to the strategic objective of Russia;
• processing of the Tatarstan oil close to the site of its production.

JSC "Reimpex" implements construction of the Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex in Kalmykia in accordance with basic provisions of the Energy Strategy of Russia and the General Plan for the Russian Oil Sector Development until 2020 and the instructions of the President of the Russian Federation to increase oil refining in the country; the program of petrochemical complexes development in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Security Council decision of the Moscow city.
